摘要：An alignment tool is disclosed for use in making a hole in a wall board to align

with a pre-mounted outlet box. The tool comprises a locating assembly (10) having a

base (14) for mounting in a predetermined position in the outlet box (30), a template (12)

for cutting a hole of the correct size and shape in the board (32) to fit around the box

(30), and alignment means for passing through the wall board (32) to align the template

(12) with the locating assembly (10). In the invention, the alignment means comprises a

single post (18) of non-circular cross-section projecting from the base (14) of the locating

assembly to pass through the wall board (32), and an aperture (24) of complementary

cross-section in the template (12) for snugly receiving a portion of the post (18)

protruding from the wall board (32) so as to ensure the correct position and orientation

of the template (12) relative to the box (30).
