After bagging many other awards, on March 13, 2023,
Michelle Yeoh made history, becoming the first Asian woman to
win the Oscar for her performance in the sci-fi comedy
Everything
Everywhere All at Once
.
Yeoh was born into a wealthy Malaysian family in 1962. As a
teenager, she dreamt of being a successful ballet dancer to set up a
ballet school of her own. In 1983, she was crowned Miss Malaysia.
Her first on-camera work was a 1984 commercial with Jackie Chan.

an international goodwill ambassador, she has been striving to help

So far, Yeoh has acted in over 100 films and has had many
honors and awards. For her contributions of distinction to the art of
the moving image, she received an honorary doctorate of fine arts
degree from the American Film Institute in 2022. She has been the
first Asian artist to receive the honor.
To seize the “being-seen” moment by the whole world, Yeoh
has spent 40 years fighting her way to the peak of her career. In her
Oscar acceptance speech, she stressed that one must dream big
as dreams do come true.

她在科幻喜剧《瞬息全宇宙》中的表演，使她成为第一位获得奥斯卡金
像奖最佳女主角的亚洲女性。
1962年,杨紫琼出生于马来西亚一个富裕的家庭。十几岁时，她就
梦想成为一名成功的芭蕾舞者,开办一所属于她自己的芭蕾舞学校。1983
年,她当选马来西亚小姐。她第一次上镜是1984年与成龙合作的广告。
同年，一部动作喜剧电影《猫头鹰与小飞象》标志着她职业演艺生涯的
开始。
一系列动作片，包括《皇家师姐》《警察故事3:超级警察》以及《超
级计划》，使她成为中国香港的明星。她的特技表演极大地展现了她的
优雅、精准和无畏。然而，杨紫琼也因这些完美的武术动作多次身受重伤。
经过十多年的努力，她被认为是香港女性动作演员的先锋人物。
在亚洲成名后，杨紫琼收到了来自好莱坞的邀约。1997年，她首次
