倍数表达法对于高中生来说是重点也是难点，考试时不容易对付，要求考生必须熟练
掌握和运用。
1，主语+系动词+数词+times(倍数)as+原级形容词+as+比较对象。
Asia is four times as large as Europe.
亚洲面积是欧洲的四倍
He runs twice as fast as Mike．他跑的速度是迈克的两倍。(两倍只用twice就可以
了。)

This TV set costs twice as much as that one．
这台电视机的价格是那台电视机的两倍。
The playground is 2．5 times as big as it was ten years ago．
这个操场是十年前的两倍半大。
2，注意+系动词+数词+times+the+weight/width/depth/size/length等+of+比较
对象。
The big box is five times the weight of the small one．
这个大箱子的重量是小箱子的五倍。
说明:此句型表示“是……的几倍"。其中的as…as之间要用形容词原级。此外，我们可
以用“倍数+the size／length／width／height／weight等单位名词+of…”来表示“……
的尺寸(长度、宽度、高度、重量等)是……的几倍"。
3，主语+谓语+倍数词/百分比+形容词／副词比较级+than+比较对象

我的年纪比汤姆大两倍。

说明:此句型表示“比……大(多、宽、高等)几倍”。其中的形容词要用比较级，而倍数
词除了“两倍"可以用twice表示外，其他倍数都是由数字加上times所组成，例如“三倍”
是three times， “四倍"是four times，以此类推。
4，数词+单位量词词+形容词。
The wooden bridge is 20 metres wide．=The wooden bridge is 20 metres in
width．这个木桥有20米宽。
His father is six feet in height．=His father is six feet tall．他父亲身高六英尺。
This piece of luggage is 8 kilograms in weight．
这件行李有八千克重。
注意:此句型用来表示有关长、宽、高、面积等的数值大小。其中，单位词有metre，

kilometre，inch，foot，yard，kilogram，ounce，pound等。形容词有long，wide，
high，deep，heavy等。此外，还可以用“基数词+单位词+in+名词"表示。名词有length，
width，height，depth，thickness，weight等。可以用by来把长度和宽度的数值结合
起来，用以说明一个物体的大小。
