本课是第六单元话题二的第一课时。本课的主要活动是1a, 3a和4a。通过人物对话呈现主要教学内容，学习住房类型的词汇和表达方式。通过听有关租房的对话，让学生了解关于出租、求租等应用广告。此外，语音板块将呈现并操练元音字母o、字母组合o+st/ld, oa和辅音字母h的读音及语音辨认。
