identify 也有“发现”的意思，为了表达的丰富，写作中可以用identify 替代find，特别是在候选者（candidates ）中“发现”用identify 更合适。例如：

Finding real/genuine/authentic information from substantial messages in we-media era is a challenge.（在自媒体时代，从大量资讯中发现真正的信息是一个挑战。）

可以写成：

Identifying real/genuine/authentic information from substantial messages in we-media era is a challenge.

又例如：

Identifying and removing points of failure as early as possible is a key requirement of system management.（尽早发现并移除失效点是系统管理的一个关键需求。）

We investigated all candidate schemes and didn’t identify any appropriate ones.（我们调查了所有备选方案，没有发现合适的。）

注意，find可以接that从句，identify 不能。
