require 例句
1、 首先理解require的意思与词性:
它既是及物动词vt.（transitive verb），意为“需要; 要求; 想要; 命”; 后面可以
直接加名词
也是不及物动词vi.（intransitive verb）要求，规定; 后面不可以直接加名词
2、 require的用法与搭配：
1) require sth. “需要，依靠某物”，此时作为及物动词使用，例如：
These flowers require a lot of care and attention.
2) require sb. to do sth. “需要/要求某人做某事“， 例如：
主动句（active sentence）: The leader requires all the staff to submit new
proposals.
被动句（passive sentence）: All the staff are required to submit new
proposals.
注意：其中to 后面的动词，使用do to, 此时句子的主语是动作的发出者。
3) require doing sth “需要做某事”，可用主动表被动，例如：
The daily report is required doing by all the staff before 9pm every day.
The daily report is required to be done by all the staff before 9pm every
day.
The book requires making known to most of us.
require doing sth=required to be done
require前面的是句子主干主语，此时，句子的主语是动作的对象。
4) require (that) sb. (should) do sth., “要求，需要“，这是require引导的宾
语从句，从句中需要用虚拟语气, 谓语动词用should+动词原形，其中should可以省
略，例如：
It requires that you (should) read carefully about the meaning of these
sentences to know what is exactly needed to do.
5）require sth. of sb. “要求某人（做）某事/某物”，例如：
Only by the end of this month will he know what is exactly required of him
for the promotion.
Our teacher requires the latest thesis of his another 10 students in Class 1.
