英语单项选择题的破解技巧

通过对十年来高考单项选择试题的分析,可以发现,单项选择题已经由传统的单纯考查

语法知识逐渐向英语应用的方向发展,体现了英语的交际功能。考查重点也由集中到分散,

考查的知识点越来越多。从词法上看,动词(动词时态、语态、非谓语动词、词语辨析和情

态动词)、代词、形容词和副词、名词和代词是考试重点,而动词的时态、语态、非谓语动

词和情态动词是重中之重;从句法上看,连词和从句是考查的重点。从高考具体的试卷来看,

动词时态考查比较多的是一般过去时、过去进行时、过去将来时、现在完成时、现在完成进

行时以及它们之间的混合。被动语态中也涉及到时态问题。关于非谓语动词,考生一定要确

认非谓语动词在句子中所充当的成分,它的作用是什么,同时也要明确这样一个事实:非谓

语动词和谓语动词一样,也存在时态和语态的问题。

在做单项选择题的时候,考生往往会碰到一些“拦路虎”,主要原因是考生的词汇量跟不

上,达不到基本要求,对句子结构还不清楚,不能正确理解句子的大意。我们认为,要处理

好这个问题最重要的环节是分析句子的成分,看懂句子的意思,让句子的意思先行,这是得

出正确答案的前提,如果连句子的意思都没有弄明白,很难想像能够做出正确的答案。因此,

考生应该有一定的词汇量和基本词法句法和语法知识,必须知道每一个句子成分由什么东西

充当。当然,我们并不是死抠语法知识,但是熟悉、了解基本的语法知识是必要的。

做选择题的时候,考生可以运用直接法、排除法和比较法。所谓直接法,就是一眼能够

看出题目的答案,就直接选择;所谓排除法,就是对于有些拿不准的选项,首先将确认错误

的选项逐一排除,最后得出正确答案;比较法,就是运用联想记忆,将考点与老师讲的内容

进行比较,应该说两者之间肯定有相同或相似之处,需要将学过的知识进行迁移,并且与考

查的知识点进行比较对照,最终找出正确答案。

2006年高考英语“单项填空”充分考查了学生在具体语境里的语言实践能力,难度适

中,没有偏题、怪题,强调基础知识的运用,充分体现了高考试题“注重语境,强调运用”

的指导思想。另外,该大题内容覆盖面较广,全面地考查了中学所学的语言结构、词法和句

法。
