Warm-up
Watch an video and think about these questions below.

note down the key information.

Please allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you. My name is (name),

This position offers new and exciting challenges to me, all of which I am looking forward to.

Episode 2 Corporation Organizational Structure

1 Read the email letter, answer the following questions and then complete the organization
chart with the names of people on the book.
Teachers ask students to read the background of the letter first and finish the chart.
2 Make a brief description of the organizational structure of the company, including the
duties of each position and the relationship between the posts.
Teachers ask students to look at and describe the structure. Students should include all the
positions and departments. After students describe the chart, they should draw an organizational
chart for a company they are familiar with.

What kind of facilities should be included and what office environment do you expect?

Warm-up
Every company has some codes of behavior that the staff should pay attention to. Avoiding office
taboos and behaving oneself holds crucial to every newcomer in a company. Have a short quiz to
see how much you know about office etiquette.
1 Now please read the passage on your students’ book and try to find out the inappropriate
behaviors these people have conducted.
Teachers have students read the passage and pick out as many office taboos as possible in it. Then
teachers ask students to report the office taboos they have located in the passage and explain why
they think the behavior is inappropriate in the office.
2 Read the passage on your students’ book and classify the statements A to R based on the
information you have got from it.
Teachers have students read the two passages in this part to reinforce their memory of the office
taboos.
Teachers ask students to make a list of office taboos as possible as they can.

Make dialogues according to the following directions to practice the process of on boarding.
